Each of the three sections in Sample Questions, do those multiple times. TL DR: the brain is a muscle, and its endurance can be trained. That's probably a good place to be at as far as mental endurance. I think I even studied after my second practice exam, because I'd gotten used to long days, and I still had gas in the tank after the exam. By the end of those long days in the library, my practice exam days felt light. (Much easier the second time around a section, because you remember the material, but seeing how the question 'points' toward the correct answer is helpful.)Īs I'm sure other people have said, drilling up to have attention and mental endurance is a big part of the game. At night, I'd drill all of the previous few days' cards + material from what I'd read that day.Īlso, I did the section banks and sample questions in a single sitting for each section, took a break, and then retook that section until I got 100%. Think I averaged 4-5 chapters in the morning while taking notes as Anki cards, and then drilled what I just learned before moving on. The best thing is really mixing it up, and forcing a lot of info into active recall. Then discovered the section bank after a couple more days of reading, drilled that, took the second AAMC practice exam, and then took a day off before the test. Took a practice exam on the 7th day after 6 days of reading and drilling Anki and AAMC sample questions.
